From Achupallas to Ingapirca
Following the trail of the legendary Inca people, in the south of Ecuador, we will continue on the path that the Incas used, passing the Laguna de Tres Cruces.
This four-day trek leads us from Achupallas to Ingapirca, where we will visit the ruins of the temple, Ecuador's most significant heritage of this mystic culture.
DAY 1: QUITO CITY TOUR & TRANSFER TO RIOBAMBA
We start our Tour with a scenic tour of Quito colonial area. Afterwards we continue our trip to the city of Riobamba passing along the amazing volcanoes and mountains that forms the avenue of the volcanoes like the Cotopaxi, the Illinizas, and the tallest peak in Ecuador, Chimborazo.
From Riobamba we head to the small town of Alausi from where we will follow te Inca footsteps. We start with a small hike in order to settle the campsite, where we will enjoy a delicious dinner.
DAY 2: ACHUPALLAS AND TRES CRUCES
After breakfast we follow the Cardul River to the Tres Cruces Lagoon, the lagoon is set at 4000 m and to reach it we will make our way in a rocky terrain and across the river. Beautiful Andean landscapes will accompany us along the way. We make camp near Tres Cruces Lake where we will have dinner.
DAY 3: HIKE FROM TRES CRUCES TO PAREDONES
After breakfast, we head south following the road to Culebrillas lagoon, considered by many to be a sacred place for the indigenous that inhabitat the area before the Incas. During the treck we will encounter the remainings of the ancient Inca path that crossed these lands. We will arrive first Tambo Paredones, a Inca stone construction built by Tupac-Yupanqui. We will establish camp at Abrasca-Rumi.
DAY 4: PAREDONES TO INGAPIRCA
In the morning after breakfast, we hike to Ingapirca Ruins, here we will take a guided tour of the ruins and afterwards we will drive to the city of Cuenca where we will spend the night.

DAY 5: CUENCA CITY TOUR
On the last day of our journey we will have a small tour in the cobblestone streets of Cuenca exploring it?s plazas, courtyards, and churches. We visit the flowers market at San Francisco Squareand we will finish the tour with a drive along the Tomebamba River to admire this World Heritage City.
