Papallacta Antisana Pass
Day 1: (Transfer in)
One of our representatives will pick you up at Mariscal Sucre airport and drive you for about 1 hour to the city of Quito.
Day 2: (Papallacta B,L,D)
You will be picked up in a private transportation from your hotel and driven through a great birding corridor known as the Papallacta Pass. The Papallacta pass is between two protected areas the Cayambe-Coca and Antisana Ecological Reserves, these areas assure the preservation of unique habitats and unique bird species.
The ecosystem will range from the paramos in the highlands to the cloud forests in the slopes of the mountains. Overnight at Guango Lodge or similar.
Day 3: (Quito)
Return to the city of Quito with some stops in the way.
Birds: Some of the bird species that you might be able to see are: The Andean Condor, Caruculated Caracara, Black-chested Buzzard Eagle and the Variable Hawk. As to hummingbirds the Ecuadorian Hillstar, the Blue-mantled Thornbill, Mountain Avocetbill are often encountered.
